7 Signs Your Washing Machine Needs Professional Repair
A washing machine rarely fails without warning. Long before it stops working completely, it usually gives off small signs that something is wrong. Catching these early can save you from a full appliance breakdown and a much bigger repair bill.
1. Washing machine not draining. If water is left sitting in the drum after a cycle, the drain pump or hose may be blocked or failing.
2. Washing machine not spinning. Clothes coming out soaking wet usually points to a worn drive belt, motor coupling, or door lock issue.
3. Loud banging or grinding noises. This often means worn drum bearings, which get worse the longer they are ignored.
4. Leaking water. A leak can come from a damaged door seal, hose, or pump — all of which a washing machine technician can diagnose quickly.
5. Machine not turning on at all. This could be as simple as a power or control board fault.
6. Error codes on the display. Modern washing machines from Samsung, LG, and Bosch will flag internal faults with a code rather than fail silently.
7. Excessive vibration or shaking. Often caused by an unbalanced load, but persistent shaking can mean suspension or levelling problems.
If you are noticing any of these signs in Nairobi or Westlands, book a same-day washing machine repair with Findafix before a small fault becomes a costly one.
